"Recently I was asked to read this collation of the experiences of adoptive families where their adoptive children no longer live with them. The stories are stark and reflect the catastrophic impact of early adversity on some children and how these vulnerable children can often make adults and other children around then as equally vulnerable. It's not an easy read as it's raw and immediate in its descriptions. It's the start point for a group or parents who are asking children's social care to do better and to develop practice to meet the needs of families, children and adults, when they find themselves in crisis".
